O FSS, laboratório que analisou os vestígios biológicos dos McCann que a PJ encontrou no Algarve, também trabalha para o governo britânico.
E, no recente passado, até teve alguns casos de sucesso:
"Cutting-edge DNA technology developed by the FSS played a vital role in the conviction of Peter Voisey, today sentenced to life imprisonment for the kidnap and sexual assault of a six-year-old girl".
"A 38-year-old man has today, Thursday 30 November 2006, been found guilty of the brutal murder of a grandmother from Bury more than a decade ago".
